Two hot torbernites from Old Gunnislake mine the top one collected from the now football pitch area the lower from the adit.
After so much rain I thought I would take a photo of the chimney in the late afternoon sun.
The ground and the buildings are saturated and I am hoping we do not get any hard frosts for a while, de-lamination of the killas allows the water to penetrate the walls if it freezes there is a very strong possibility of a collapse.

Clinoclase a very rare arsenate, type location Wheal Gorland St Day.
This specimen on grey killas was collected in the late 1970’s and is the richest of two in my collection.
Took a closer look at yesterdays rock fall at Porthtowan today hoping some mineralized material may have been brought down. The fall has completely covered the adit.
No such luck only pyrite.
Another fall looks likely soon.
