An End To The Bournonites?

Shifted several cubic metres of dirt from hole 5x with no sign of any mineralisation. The majority of the specimens have come in the first metre of the dump, go lower and it becomes barren. It kind of plays out with the theory I have that the top layer near the shaft was put there later around 1872 when a brief spell of mining took place.

The miners would have stripped out any remaining galena from the stope pillars in the higher parts of the mine in the area you would expect to find bournonite, they dumped any waste close by the shaft.
