Rhodonite

Rhodonite is pretty rare in most areas of Cornwall the exception is a wide circle of mines around Launceston where it occurs readily within manganese deposits. The photos show two such specimens the first and darker one also contains Bustamite and Tephroite showing as the brown infill. Both specimens have been cut and polished from much larger blocks.
