Herodsfoot did produce Calcites of good quality large specimens resembling a Cos lettuce is the best way of describing them. A few lenticular specimens come from the dump sporadically but these are fairly small and normally in vugs on Quartz.
Rough brown crystals to 0.5 cms on Killas from the lode that outcrops on the beach. Specimen size 14.0cms x10.0cms collected around 30 years ago.
