Still searching for the elusive Herodsfoot lode that is said to run north south in front of the boiler house.

We sunk an 8 metre trench behind on old wall that may have divided the mine property from farming activity.

The trench contains no mine waste so we are not in made up ground.

If the lode is there it is too deep for us to locate with a digger.

We will try another trench higher in the field.
